Privacy, terms and your data
Published · 1 min read

Two new pages set out how the site handles your information and the rules for using it: the privacy notice and the terms of use. Both are linked in the footer of every page, on the sign-up form and on your account page.
No cookie banner
You will not see a cookie banner here, because the site sets only the cookies it needs to work, such as the one that keeps you signed in and the one that holds your cart. Page views are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device.
- If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, the analytics script is not loaded at all.
- YouTube and Vimeo videos load only when you press play, so opening a page does not contact them.
- The character builder uses its own copies of its fonts, so it does not contact Google.
The notice states that we do not sell personal information or share it with advertisers.
Your data
Your account page has a Your data section with two parts.
- Download your data gives you a file of everything your account holds, in JSON, a plain format that other programs can read.
- Delete your account asks for your password and a confirmation, then removes the account and what belongs only to it. Orders stay in the store's records.

The age question
Sign-up asks for your birth month and year. The site keeps only the result of the check; the month and year themselves are not stored. If the check does not pass, no account is made and nothing you entered is kept.
Behind the scenes, the site now holds on to less. Finished email jobs are cleared after seven days and contact messages after a year, and the links inside reset and confirmation emails are blanked in our mail records once sent.
Read the privacy notice, or open your account to find Your data.

Character builder update: your feedback, built in
Playtest feedback shaped this builder update: bonuses that name their source, rolled hit points, custom weapons, richer inventory and a Features page.

Behind the scenes: the Desk, arranged by team
We rearranged the Studio Desk around the teams who use it, so writing, marketing and admin staff each reach their own tools first.

Behind the scenes: boards, email and Drive
The Studio Desk is where we plan as well as publish. Staff now share task boards, the studio mailbox and a shared Drive folder in one place.
