Reader accounts and bookmarks

Published · 1 min read

The sign-up form for a reader account, asking for a display name, email, password, and birth month and year.

One reader account lets the wiki, the store and the character builder all remember you.

Signing up takes one form: a display name, your email, a password, and your birth month and year. Display names are unique, so if yours is taken, the form tells you and you can choose another. The form also links to the terms of use and the privacy notice.

Reader accounts are separate from the accounts studio staff use. A reader account never reaches the studio's workspace or unpublished pages, and nothing can turn one into a staff account.

Bookmarks

Every wiki entry has a Bookmark button. Press it while signed in and the entry is listed under Bookmarked entries on your account page, ready for next time.

Your account page

  • Change your display name or your password.
  • See the orders you placed in the store, which is a preview that takes no payment.
  • Open the characters you made in the character builder.
  • Look through the wiki entries you bookmarked, all in one list.

Sessions last thirty days. A failed sign-in never says whether the email or the password was wrong, and after five failed attempts the account is locked for a time.

The studio site and the wiki keep separate sign-ins, so if you use both, sign in on each.
